Pakistan on Monday handed over a list of 457 Indian prisoners including 58 civilians and 399 fishermen to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Foreign Office said the step in line with the provisions of the Consular Access Agreement between Pakistan and India, signed in May 2008.

Under the accord, both countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners in each other’s custody twice a year, on 1st of January and 1st of July.
