Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said that the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has fully delivered on its promises and tackled the energy crisis produced by the previous government of Pakistan People’s Party.
During the inaugural session of the Pakistan Oil and Gas Conference 2017, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said load-shedding of gas for all consumers was a thing of the past and load-shedding of electricity would be end soon.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who was the Minister of Petroleum for four years, said it was unfortunate that the petroleum industry has failed to come up with solid objective solutions. On the contrary, he said, it was the government that was coming up with solutions. He said the import of Liquified Natural Gas has helped the country adequately meet its energy needs and asked for objective intellectual input for optimal use of renewable sources of energy.
During the ceremony, he said that Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Terminals and associated transmission lines for the supply of gas upcountry has been completed in such a short period of 18 months.
