KARACHI: A police officer gunned down a 12-year-old boy Rehan in Karachi on Monday, claiming that he was passing through the area when a gun battle ensued between drug traffickers that ultimately caused the casualty. 

The police officer stated that he was passing through the area, Mominabad, when he witnessed a gun battle started between a group of drug traffickers.

“The firing between the suspects claimed the life of the young boy,” he said.

However, relatives of the boy denied the allegations claiming that the police officer was behind the murder of the 12-year-old.
