LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority have recovered at least 10,000 dead chickens during raid in Begum Kot and arrested a shopkeeper. As per police, the suspects were running a food outlet with the name of Hafiz Chargha.
A case has also been lodged against the accused and detailed investigation will be conducted into the matter.
Earlier, Punjab Food Authority had recovered more than 1200kg substandard meat in Lahore and arrested two suspects. The authorities on a tip-off received stopped a car and a mini truck at a check post near EME Society and recovered unhygienic meat.
