As the race for the top slot of Senate Chairman was in full swing, former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will meet Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman after two days.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to the election of Senate deputy chairman will also come under discussion.

On the other hand, independent member Anwar Kakar has entered in the race for the Senate chairman, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also been contacting groups.
Meanwhile, the battle for the top slot in Senate intensified on Tuesday, making the choice even more difficult.
Two newly-elected senators from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) met with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and announced to join the party.
