The top court of the country on Friday closed the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) case against former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, PPP co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari and former attorney general Justice (r) Malik Mohammad Qayyum.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case related to NRO passed by the former president Musharraf back in 2007.

During the hearing of the case, the top judge remarked that the respondents including Asif Zardari, Musharraf and Qayyum submitted their assets and bank account details.

“The key progress has been come in the Omni Group case and now the law will pave its own way,” the top judge further said. The court then wrapped up the case petition against Musharraf, Zardari and Qayyum.
