Mian Saqib Nisar, the Chief Justice of the top court of Pakistan on Wednesday has directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to launch a probe into the additional tax on electricity, petroleum case.

A Chief Justice-led three-member bench of the Supreme Court resumed the hearing of the case and ordered NAB probe the issue of gradual raise in petroleum prices.

During the proceedings, anti-corruption watchdog submitted the report regarding the issue, however, Chief Justice of Pakistan disposed of the case, saying that the court can’t hear it further.
