Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered the Federal Investigation Agency to complete legal action against former ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani within a week.

On Feb 15, the apex court had issued an arrest warrant for the former ambassador after he failed to appear before the court in connection with the Memogate scandal case.

During today’s hearing, the Additional Attorney General informed the Supreme Court that a letter has been sent to Interpol. A complete dossier containing judicial record against the accused will be forwarded on Interpol’s request.
