Senate election eligibility case: SC rejected medical certificate of Ishaq Dar

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected the medical certificate of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in Senate election eligibility case.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar conducted a hearing of the case.

He inquired from Dar’s lawyer Salman Butt about his client. “Bring Ishaq Dar in the court. Have you read our last order?”

“Ishaq Dar is ill. I have submitted his medical certificate in the court,” replied the lawyer.
