The leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Islamabad for attending a session of the lower house of Parliament on Wednesday (today).

As per details garnered, Shehbaz traveled with a two-member of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team and will be taken to the NAB office in Rawalpindi. The former Punjab chief minister was taken from Lahore to Islamabad through PIA flight, PK-652 at economy class. His PIA flight, PK-652, was scheduled to land in Islamabad at 9:50 am.

Earlier, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser had issued on October 10 a production order for the leader of the opposition to be brought to the session on October 17.

On October 5, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president was arrested by the NAB for his involvement in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal housing scheme.
