Supreme Court bars Pakistan Railways from selling its land

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has barred the Pakistan Railways from selling its land.

A three-member bench of apex court headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday has concluded a case pertaining to Pakistan Railways land.

During the hearing, the court further said that the land which is not required for Pakistan Railways operation can be leased out for a period of five years.

Mian Saqib Nisar, the top judge of the country said that the interim order regarding Royal Palm Golf and Country Club will be effective. 

Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan had dissolved administrative board of Royal Palm Golf and Country Club and ordered to immediately seize all the record.
