Supreme Court directs Punjab CM, others to tender apology afresh in Pakpattan DPO case

Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Monday has directed Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Usman Buzdar, former Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Kaleem Imam and Ahsan Jameel Gujjar to re-submit apology in black and white in Pakpattan DPO Rizwan Gondal transfer case.

During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar rejected the previously submitted replies of CM Buzdar, Kaleem Imam and Ahsan Jameel Gujjar in the case.

Earlier, National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) Chairman Mehr Khalid Dad Lak had presented an inquiry report of the case in Supreme Court.

The report had revealed political influence was exercised by Punjab CM to transfer Pakpattan DPO Rizwan Gondal.
