Supreme Court disposes of the case regarding fake degrees of PIA cabin crew

The top court of Pakistan on Wednesday has disposed of the case pertaining to fake degrees of the employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

During the hearing of the case, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has submitted details in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, revealing that degrees of 16 pilots and 65 cabin crew members were found fake.

Degrees of remaining six employees are yet to be verified, CAA official added.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had fired 50 cabin crew members and three pilots for submitting their fake degrees. The spokesperson of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said that the action was taken on the instructions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

An interim report was submitted to the bench by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The top court had also directed the authorities concerned to complete the process of degree verification and submit the final report on the matter.
