The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday ordered the stents will now cost Rs60,000 to Rs100,000.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar was conducting the hearing of sub-standard stunts case.

During the proceedings, the CJP directed to present detail of medicines and equipment required in the emergency.

He also observed that the price of prescription cost for the patients of heart, blood pressure and diabetes should be between Rs500 to Rs1000, adding that if someone visits a doctor, the medicines prescribed cost Rs5,000 to Rs7,000.
