Supreme Court rejected unconditional apology of Nehal Hashmi

The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday rejected unconditional apology of Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi in contempt of court case.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar was conducting a hearing of contempt of court case against the former senator.

During the proceedings, Nehal Hashmi appeared before the court and apologized to the court and asked for forgiveness to which the CJP while lashing out at the PML-N leader asked if whatever he said was merciful.
