The funeral prayers of former first lady Kulsoom Nawaz will be offered in London on Thursday before her body is brought back to Pakistan for burial, reported Express News.
The service is scheduled for 12 pm PST and the body of the former first lady will be brought back to the country via a Pakistan International Airlines flight. Shehbaz, daughter Asma Nawaz, Usman Dar and several party leaders will also be accompanying the body to Lahore.
Former premier Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and Capt (ret) Safdar were released from prison on a five-day parole on Tuesday following the news of Kulsoom’s demise.
Preparations for the funeral prayers and burial have also been completed in Lahore.
Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel will be leading the funeral prayers to be held at Sharif Medical Complex at 5 pm on Friday.
