In this blog post, we will share the top 10 Netflix series to watch in 2022 as the platform has been one of the most popular streaming services since it was founded in 1997. But some of its original series are even more successful than others.

3- Orange is the New Black

Orange is the New Black is an American comedy-drama series created by Jenji Kohan. The show premiered on July 11, 2013 and its sixth season premiered on June 17, 2018. Orange is the New Black tells the story of Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling), a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to 15 months in prison for transporting drug money ten years earlier as a young woman.

The Crown is a historical period drama that follows the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her marriage in 1947 until her death. The show stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Matt Smith as Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. It also features John Lithgow as Sir Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as Lady Dorothy Macmillan, Jared Harris as King George VI and Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret.

Narcos is an American crime drama TV series about Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar and his interactions with the Colombian government. The show first premiered on August 28th, 2015 and has since aired two seasons.

6- 13 Reasons Why

It is the story of a high school student who commits suicide and leaves behind thirteen tapes, each explaining how one person contributed to her death. The series has been a great success and has been renewed for a third season.

7- House of Cards

House of Cards is a political drama that follows the story of Frank Underwood, a Congressman who will stop at nothing to reach his ultimate goal. The show is based on the novel by Michael Dobbs and was adapted into a British miniseries starring Ian Richardson. It first aired on Netflix on February 1, 2013 and has since been nominated for 33 Emmy Awards, winning six times. This show is an excellent series for anyone interested in politics or how power can corrupt someone.

8- Marvel’s Daredevil

The first season was released on April 10, 2015. The series follows the life of Matt Murdock (played by Charlie Cox) who is blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses from a radioactive substance that falls from space and was also the only survivor of what was presumably an accident involving his father Thomas Battling Jack Murdock and a truck carrying radioactive material. Matt is out for justice.

9- Marvel’s Luke Cage

Marvel’s Luke Cage is an American web television series created by Cheo Hodari Coker. It is the third installment of Marvel and Netflix’s collaboration. The show stars Mike Colter as a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime on the streets of Harlem, New York City. Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, Theo Rossi, Simone Missick, Erik LaRay Harvey, Rosario Dawson also star.

10- American Vandal

American Vandal is a mockumentary that follows the American documentary-maker Peter Maldonado as he investigates who spray painted the dicks all over the cars of his high school’s faculty. The show was created by Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, starring Tyler Alvarez and Jimmy Tatro. For many, this show has been their introduction to true crime docs, and has helped shape how they view the genre.
