TURBAT: In a major breakthrough in the fight against terrorism, as many as 200 Baloch militants along with their commanders surrendered before the authorities on Thursday during a ceremony held at Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Turbat.

Incumbent Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Commander Southern Command Lieutenant (Lt) General Asim Saleem Bajwa were the chief guests of the ceremony.

Laying down their weapons, the insurgents announced entering into the national mainstream and abandoning their loyalties to armed militant groups in the province.

The chief minister presented national flags and laptops to the militants’ commanders of various proscribed terror outfits. He invited the misled elements to come back to their motherland and take part in constructive activities.
