LAHORE (Dunya News) – Stormy winds and drizzle in various areas of Punjab last night gave relief to the fast observing faithful as the heat intensity witnessed a decline.
According to Met office, for the second time the highest temperature 53.5 degrees was recorded in Turbat. Before this, temperature went upto 52 degrees on May 30, 2009 in the city. Initially, the hottest day was measured in Mohenjo Daro that was 53.5 degrees.
On Sunday, 50 degrees was recorded in Sibbi, 49 degrees in Jacobabad and Dadu, 46 degreed in Rahim Yar Khan and Bhakkar, 45 degrees in Larkana, 44 degrees in Multan and 42 degrees in Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar and Layyah. The maximum temperature in Lahore was 45 degrees whereas the minimum went down to 28 degrees. However; the worst loadshedding on the city heightened the heat intensity.
