District and Session Judge Munir Ahmad Joyia’s another historic sentencing in their short tenure, passed the judgment within 38 days and sentenced the criminal of the death penalty and imposed 200,000 rupee fine and in case fine is not paid then additional 6 months of imprisonment should be served.
According to the details District and Session Judge Lodhran Munir Ahmad Joyia heard the case registered in Police Station Lodhran under section 324, 302 in which criminal Muhammad Arshad killed his father in law Shabbir Ahmad at dawn outside the mosque by striking him on their head, upon finding him guilty during the hearings honorable Judge sentenced him to death penalty and imposed fine of 200,000 rupees in case he does not pay the fine he will have to serve another six months imprisonment.
According to Police Report criminal Muhammad Arshad on 12th August 2017 at dawn attacked his father in law Shabbir Ahmad outside the mosque when he was coming out of mosque after saying Fajar Prayer, he struck Shabbir Ahmad on hear as a result of which he got injured and 6 hours later he died in hospital due to fatal injuries.
Police Station Saddar registered the case and started conducting raids for the criminal’s arrest, according to Police sources criminal had fled to the Shahbaz Qalandar Sehwan Sharif where he went underground for 8 days after which he was arrested by the Police, the investigation was completed within 14 days and challenged the case to court.
District and Session Judge Munir Ahmad Joyia started the hearings of the case, criminal’s family refused to hire an attorney on which court provided an attorney for the criminal, after hearing the case honorable judge passed the verdict and sentenced the criminal.
District and Session Judge Malik Munir Ahmad Joyia has constituted eleven special courts on District Headquarters level to resolve 6291 cases in accordance with “Case and Court Management Plan 2017” from High Court so that swift justice can be served to people.
According to the notification District and session, Judge Malik Munir Ahmad Joyia will resolve 132 cases of his own court, 393 cases of Additional District and Session Judge Nasir Hussain’s court and 302 cases of Additional District and Session Judge Mr. Saeed Ahmad Mukhtar’s court.
He further told about civil courts that 1009 cases of different types are hearing at Senior Civil Judge Judicial Mr. Anees Ahmad’s court which includes land acquisition, environmental, overseas Pakistanis, foreigners, Board, College, University, TMA, Union Council, WAPDA, NADRA, Rent, Irrigation department, order and direction deeds will be resolved.
897 cases under hearing at Civil Judge First Class Mrs. Fauzia Afzal which includes revenue, cases against Government and indentures will be heard. 694 cases under hearing at Civil Judge First Class Regular/Civil Court Mrs. Sadia Luqmani’s court which includes cases of agreement, contracts cancellation. Senior Civil Judge Guardian/family court of Mr. Musanif Ali Joyia’s 1137 cases of guardianship while 892 cases of Guardianship and Family’s Magistrate Syed Waqas Bukhari section 30 court and section 30’s first class will be heard.
Mr. Abdul Majid Magistrate’s First Class 835 First Class and minor crimes cases will be resolved while Civil Judge Class III Hafiz Ubaid will have ARD Center.
