Unidentified people threw black ink on Nawaz Sharif’s banners in Lahore

Some unidentified people have on Friday threw black ink over all banners and panaflexes of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the provincial capital’s The Mall Road.

The banners were placed on The Mall outside Governor House, Chief Minister Secretariat and other areas as Nawaz Sharif is returning to Lahore from Islamabad via the famous Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) in a bid to show his popularity among the people despite security concerns following a bomb blast in the Punjab province’s capital.

Even the government machinery is unaware of the persons involved in the throwing black ink over the banners and panaflexes.

Nawaz Sharif, began a homecoming journey on Wednesday, leaving for the eastern city Lahore along with hundreds in a bid to show his popularity among the people despite security concerns following a bomb blast in the Punjab province’s capital.
