The verdict of Imran’s contempt of court case has been postpones by ECP

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed verdict in contempt of court case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan which was likely to be announced today (Monday).

New counsel of Imran Khan, Babar Awam has challenged the authority of ECP to hear contempt of court case on which a reply has also been sought from the plaintiff till July 19.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI founding member Akbar S. Babar alleged Imran Khan of calling the government institutions as biased in the foreign funding reference and claimed that it comes under contempt of court case.

Talking to media after the hearing, Babar Awan said he wants to take directions from his client after which he will give his arguments. He said that there is a talk on the judges being biased in several cases.

He claimed that official campaign is being run against Imran Khan for his disqualification whereas a constitutional and legal reply has been submitted in ECP.
