The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has imposed the rain emergency in the different parts of Pakistan including Rawalpindi, Kohat, and Peshawar on Wednesday amid continued monsoon rain spell.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Bannu, D.I.Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G Khan, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Sibbi, Zhob, Kalat divisions, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places in Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, and Kashmir.

The authorities have also issued the warning about the flood after the level of the water in Nullah Lai in Rawalpindi continued to increase. After the new spell of monsoon rains in the country, the lakes and Nullahs are flooded with a high level of water and also has caused the rise in Nullah Lai water level up to eight feet.
