Young doctors strike enters 10th days, patients are facing problems

Hundreds of patients continue to suffer as outdoor and indoor wards in all hospitals across the province remained closed as the strike of Young Doctors Association (YDA) entered the 10th day on Thursday.

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued its strike at Out Patients Departments (OPDs) and indoor wards of hospitals for the 10th consecutive day today across Punjab.

The Punjab government had terminated at least 100 protesting doctors across the province.

The YDA said that the government and Health Department were using delaying tactics instead of resolving the issues.

Meanwhile, patients were the ultimate sufferers of the standoff between the government and young doctors due to a closure of medical services at major government hospitals.
